Pamphlet announcing the Journals of Peace Schedule of presenters and links to their reading |

Beginning at 2:00 pm on Monday, Nov 21st, and continuing throughout the Vigil until noon on Tuesday, Nov. 22, we will be using the Mott House, 122 Maryland Ave. NE (see map) as your Registration Center.* |
Included with your Readers Packet will be name tags which we would like you to wear throughout the Vigil. These name tags must also be prominently displayed to gain admittance to the Commemorative Service at St. Matthews Cathedral scheduled for Tuesday at 1:00 pm. More information on the Service and directions to the Cathedral will be included in the packet. At this point we can assure seating in the Cathedral for all Journal participants. Seating for guests of participants will depend upon availability, although standing room in the Cathedral is plentiful. Because of the difficulty parking in the Capital area, we recommend using the Metro System if at all possible. Its a short walk from the Capital South station (see map). To the north of the Capital, the Union Station stop is also within walking distance. Please let us know if you need accommodations while in Washington. Area RPCVs have agreed to housing overnight guests during the vigil. If you have any questions, problems or special needs please contact Mike McGirr at (202) 628-2721. Thanks again for your participation. Sincerely, *Anyone scheduled to read prior to 2:30 pm on Monday, Nov. 21st must pick up their Readers Packet from a National Council staff person in the Rotunda itself. They will be available from 11:30 am on, and will be near the speakers podium. Again, please plan to come early. |
