1. What did you enjoy about the workshop? Please explain.

I really enjoyed reading others’ work, commenting, and receiving comments. I enjoyed the topics of the lectures.

2. How could the workshop be improved? Please explain.

I think perhaps it would be helpful to have longer assignments every two weeks instead of every week.

3. What were the reasons you signed up for this workshop?

To gain help with structuring my writing, to have an external force to keep me writing, to get honest feedback.

4. Did this workshop provide information that was valuable to you? Please explain.

Yes, met all of above goals.

5. How did this workshop compare with other training you have had?

No previous workshops except college courses which were similar in structure but not online.

6. Was the workshop a good value? How does it compare with the cost of other workshops you may have investigated?

Seemed reasonable. Nothing to compare it to.

7. Please write any comments you have about the teacher? His presentation format? His communication skills?

I thought John was very approachable, offered good and honest/valuable feedback.

8. Do you have any comments about the weekly written Lessons? Assignments? Writers’ interviews?

Good content.

How was the timing of these?

9. What are your thoughts about the computer on-line aspect of this workshop?

Found it easy to use and in some ways an advantage in the initial anonymity it offered.

About the effectiveness of the weekly forums and feedback system?

Helpful.

About the effectiveness of the weekly evening one-hour chats? The day of the week, the time of day? Please explain.

Somewhat challenging because the end of a long day working. Generally enjoyable but not as helpful as the feedback.

Very good feedback from others. Respect their opinions. Interesting insights.

Beneficial. Good insight/honesty.
